Our two grandsons, Case and Cole, arrived healthy and beautiful. We are now Paw Paw and MiMi to six grandchildren!
(Congratulations. How fun. Twins!)
from Pat Trahan Knox in Beaumont
Well, my husband and I both retired on January 31st. Ray has had to travel so much in the last few years that we are going to have to adjust to being newlyweds again. We plan to do some work on the house, build a garden, start walking to get back in shape, and not get up at 5:00 am anymore. He has been with Snap On for 39 years and I have been with Beaumont ISD for 25 years. We are excited!
(Happy for you both. Now, begin the second half of your life. Enjoy)
from Rebecca Carr Errington in Houston

REUNION NEWS
I got a surprise in the mail today! No, it wasn't one of the 50 darn gold postcards that have been returned for not having a “good” address. It was much, much better. It seems that Bill Richey and wife, Rhonda are so excited about our upcoming 45th class reunion that they sent in their $100.00 check for their tickets without even getting their information letter!!!!! We are now officially in business. I think they realize that $$$$$ has to be paid out in advance to run one of these affairs. A great big thank you to the RICHEYS and we hope to hear from many more of you soon. The reunion information can be found on our website. Anything you need to know should be there. If not, give me a holler and I'll try to enlighten you.
MOM'S FAVORITE SAYINGS
(Aren't we glad we are now in the “grandma” stage!!!)
·What part of no don't you understand?
·I don't care who started it!
·Wait until your father gets home!
·Your face is going to freeze like that.
·No one said life was fair.
·Go to your room.
·Beds are for sleeping, not jumping.
·Eat your vegetables.
·Because I said so, that's why!

My grandson, Reagan, came through his back surgery today with no complications. Please keep him in your prayers for a healthy recovery with no complications. It will take time, but God willing, I pray that this will take care of his problems.

Debbie Thompson Saide is suffering from leukemia and low iron levels. She is to start iron infusion next week.
(I talked with Debbie today and she is very upbeat. She appreciates the prayers. She and Linda Hopper Hunt are talking about coming to our reunion together this summer . I'm looking forward to seeing both of them.)
CONDOLENCES
Angelina Pompelina Lozano died 1/15/13. A friend of her daughter, Carey Lozano, has put a donation can at Britt's Grocery at the corner of 39th and Main Ave. in Groves. Angelina and Carey had no other family and the friend is trying to help Carey with funeral expenses. Some of you might remember going to school with Angelina. She went to both Woodrow and Edison Jr. High Schools.
(Thanks to Georgette Licatino Stepan and Jeanette Constantine Morgan for this information. Also, thanks to Sandra Tauzin Flores for going to the store and taking pictures of the donation can so that I could get more information.)

I hope that the groundhog knows what he is talking about and we will have spring soon. But, tell that to the people on the East coast. Let's keep them in our prayers as we enjoy our SE Texas
sunshine.
Until we meet again,
