Brrrrr. I sure
like the winter cold as
opposed to hot, humid
weather. Of
course, I still run
around without a coat.
I sure can't see putting
one on and getting in a
car and then taking it
off. But, I sure
can still hear my momma
saying, "Linda Sue,
aren't you cold?
Put a jacket on."
Love you mom. Wish
you were still here to
nag me about this.

I am sending photos of
our Christmas morning
here in
Alabama. I went to the 11pm candlelight
service on Christmas Eve
and left church about
12:30 am and the sky was
clear and the stars were
shining. We woke
up to a
WHITE CHRISTMAS!
While we were used to
having a white Christmas
when we lived in
Minnesota,
it has been a long time
since then. My
four year old grandson
was staying with us and
he let out a big
"WOW!!!" when he looked
outside. He
immediately went outside
and started making
and throwing snowballs.
It started snowing even
harder and we eventually
ended up with 4-5 inches
of snow. Because
it stayed cold for a few
days the snow stayed
around until the Monday
after Christmas.
Wishing all my
classmates a HAPPY
2011!!

Thanks for the birthday
greetings. I don't
really feel 61 but the
calendar doesn't lie.
The weather is 38 with a
predicted high of 40.
The low tonight is 30.
There's dirty snow on
the ground and clean
snow on the way this
weekend.
(Monty sent this weather
info on Jan. 6th BEFORE
this last week's frigid
weather went across the
US. I bet
Montana
was Bbbrrrrrrr!)

Everyone around here is
ok. Things change
from day to day.
My granddaughter,
Candice, got to perform
in the half time show at
the COTTON BOWL Friday
night. She is with
the drill team for
Colmesneil. That
is the biggest thing
that has happened around
here in 20 years!

Hello friends! I
have great news. I
am engaged to be married
to Kim Patterson.
He is from
Florida
and moved here as a
chef. He is now
retired and helping me
with the printing
company and farm.
He treats me like a
princess and I love it.
We have so much fun and
are so much alike. We
haven't set a date but
maybe later this
year. I wanted to share
the blessing of God in
my life with you.

May you get a clean bill
of health from your
dentist, your
cardiologist, your
gastro-enterologist,
your urologist, your
proctologist, your
podiatrist, your
psychiatrist, your
plumber and the I.R.S.
May your hair, your
teeth, your face-lift,
your abs and your stocks
not fall; and may your
blood pressure, your
triglycerides, your
cholesterol, your white
blood count and your
mortgage interest not
rise.
May New Year's Eve
find you seated around
the table, together with
your beloved family and
cherished friends.
May you find the food
better, the environment
quieter, the cost much
cheaper, and the
pleasure more fulfilling
than anything else you
might ordinarily do that
night.
May what you see in the
mirror delight you, and
what others see in you
delight them. May
someone love you enough
to forgive your faults,
be blind to your
blemishes, and tell the
world about your
virtues.
May the telemarketers
wait to make their sales
calls until you finish
dinner, may the
commercials on TV not be
louder than the program
you have been watching,
and may your check book
and your budget
balance-and include
generous amounts for
charity.
May you remember to say
"I love you" at least
once a day to your
spouse, your child, your
parent, your siblings;
but not to your
secretary, your nurse,
your masseuse, your
hairdresser or your
tennis instructor.
And may we live in a
world at peace and with
the awareness of God's
love in every sunset,
every flower's unfolding
petals, every baby's
smile, every lover's
kiss, and every
wonderful, astonishing,
miraculous beat of our
heart.
WISHING YOU THE BEST IN
2011!

shhhhh! It has
been relatively quite
around here lately.
Dad is doing much better
since his Dementia
medicine SNAFU is now
remedied. I am
going to go to the
Lutcher Theatre tonight
with my best friend,
Martha Lipe Bodin, to
see the broadway
production CATS! I
hope it lives up to all
the hype I have heard
over the years. On
another note, my
sister's psychiatrist
is changing up dosages
of some of her RX,
taking her off of some
others, and adding some.
Please keep her in your
prayers. RX
changes are hard on
anyone especially
someone with a BI-POLAR
disorder.

I am happy to report
that my mother-in-law is
doing much better since
we were finally able to
get her moved out of her
home and into a nice
assisted living center
in November. She
has a nice apartment
unit and has made a
number of new friends.
She has gotten involved
in a number of the
activities, has many
more social
interactions, eats
better, participates in
the exercise class three
times per week, and
rides in the shuttle bus
whenever it makes
shopping runs. She
is walking better and
has a much more
positive outlook.
The move was several
years overdue, but she
has made a great
adjustment to her new
home.

I have had such a
blessed week.
An old friend from
high school came to
see me Monday.
It was because she
found my name on the
TJ '68 Newsletter
on their website.
I didn't know where
she was and she
didn't know we had
moved. We had
a great visit and
are renewing our
friendshipo. I
know the Lord sent
her to me and
I am so blessed.
It has been a
beautiful week and I
have done so well.
I have gone for
several short walks.
Thanks again for
your thoughts and
prayers.

At this point it is
easy to take care of
myself, as I haven't

Besides, Richard is
quite a task master

doctor's orders.
He has become

As time goes on and
I feel better, I
might have to be
reminded to watch my
pace. At least
6 months of
medication and
weekly office visits
seem forboding but
better than the
alternative.
