MAIL CALL
from Carolyn Bigler Hebert (wife of Alfred Hebert-faculty)
God bless all of you and keep you the good work. Congratulations on your new website look. It's terrific. I am super impressed. I enjoy looking at the vintage photos of PA. Alfred always gets a kick out of seeing himself diving off the platform of the Lakeview swimming pool. Cbhebert2006@outlook.com

MAIL SERVICE WOES
Mike Lawson is having a heck of a time getting the classmates the notices of classmate deaths and other important news. He works so hard trying to find out what the problem is with the servers. He spends hours and hours on this. He tried to send out the funeral notice for Randy Sonnier and it did not work. I had several classmates contact me asking if we knew he had passed away. The only solution was for me to put the information and obituary on Face Book. I think Mike has the situation under hand at this point. Hopefully, you will see the notice about the website and newsletter update on your e-mail. If you don’t and you read this because you saw this notice on FB, contact me. Also, make sure that I have your updated e-mail address.

INFORMATION for the NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE
I want to thank the classmates AGAIN for making sure I get info on classmates’ passing, illnesses, or any other news that I can pass along. Thank you to Fred Hollier, Jr. who informed me of his cousin’s passing, Monty Nolan. Also, Sheridan Jones was the first to tell me about Randy Sonnier’s passing. I appreciate all the help.

MILITARY SECTION
After Monty Nolan’s passing, a very good friend had to task to clean out his apartment. She posted a military photo on FB of Monty while he was in Vietnam. Fred Hollier, Jr. shared it with me. He also told me that the two of them went to the Marine boot camp together. Fred and Monty were first cousins on his mother’s side. Fred, Jr. is my third cousin on his dad’s side. Thanks, cuz, for sharing that picture and your memory. Thank you for your service. If anyone else has military photos, please text them or e-mail them to me and I will include them in our MILITARY SECTION. Take the time to check it out, please.

NEWS FROM THE HOMEFRONT
It sure has been quite around here for the last two months. I think I have been lazy and been watching too many Netflix series. But, I did have a little “EXCITEMENT”. After going to mass on Super Bowl Sunday, February 11, we stopped by a Chinese buffet on the way home to Lumberton. For the first time ever at this restaurant, I decided to try some crawfish. Bad move! They were super soft and I tried just two! Yuck. They tasted rotten. Murphy didn’t eat any. Monday, I had a stomachache and then diarrhea. This lasted 24 hours a day including vomiting until Wednesday. By then I couldn’t stand, walk, raise my head, etc. Thursday morning, we called my family physician who diagnosed dehydration. In the next hour, I went to the local ER. My blood pressure was 70 over 40. I couldn’t talk or anything. They took scans, my history, & pushed fluid through my veins as fast as possible. I was admitted and spent 5 more days in the hospital before they felt like my lab results were okay to go home. I was so exhausted that I was on a walker and had no stamina for several more days. I then got the results that it was SALMONELLA!!!! Of course, we called the Health Department and gave them details. Enough said. Glad this is over with. Thankfully, my husband was too busy eating Shrimp Tempura, mushrooms and Hot and Sour Soup and didn’t even try the crawfish!!! On a good note, my two Aggie granddaughters are coming in for the Easter weekend. Whoop. On a bad note, Murphy, the two Grands and our daughter are going to the ASTROS/YANKEE game Easter Sunday without me!!!! My neuropathy is acting up and it is too hard to walk a lot and go up and down stairs, etc. Well, I will watch the game in my recliner with a hot dog, peanuts, popcorn and crackerjacks BUT NO CRAWFISH!!!!!

UPDATED INFORMATION
Please send any changes in address, e-mail addresses, and phone #’s. I will update them on my spreadsheet. I don’t like LOSING my friends!

CLASSMATE LISTING
When you have time, I would like to ask a favor. Go to the heading CLASSMATE LISTING at the top of the website home page. Check and see if we have your e-mail and city correct. Then, if you have a little more time, just start looking at the whole list. You might see a mistake. Then, tell me. You also might see a name that makes you smile and maybe you might just contact that “ole” friend from your past. How cool would that be? Try it, you might like it.
